چکیده
Abstract This article describes how selectively anionic organic molecules could be removed from aqueous medium using naturally available gypsum (GS) adsorbent. Gypsum (CaSO 4 .2H 2 O) shows strong interactions with dye while it dos not show any affinity towards cationic molecules. We have shown the removal efficiency of taking chlorazole yellow (anionic dye) and methylene blue (cationic as examples adsorbates. The GS has been to even more effective than activated carbon in attaining (CY) removal. Three well-known kinetic equations e.g. pseudo-first-order, pseudo-second order intraparticle diffusion were exploited interpret experimental data. Results best fitting second process excellent regression coefficient ( r = 0.99) for adsorption process. equilibrium data analyzed exploiting some isotherm models. It was apparent that Freundlich model superbly fitted CY And maximum capacity, Q m , obtained 12.85 mg g −1 at room temperature. negative values Gibb’s free energy change (Δ G o ) suggests molecule is spontaneous nature. Moreover, enthalpy H indicates exothermic nature outcome where are required separated, selectively.

متن کاملModified Nanoporous Carbon Material for Anionic Dye Removal from Aqueous Solution
In this study, the adsorption behavior of anionic dyes from aqueous solution onto mesoporous carbon material (CMK-1) and modified with polymer (PANI/CMK-1) has been investigated as a function of parameters such as adsorbent dose (0.08-0.8 g/L), solution pH 3–10, contact time and initial concentration (10-100 mg/L). The influence of these parameters on the adsorption capacity has been studied us...
متن کاملRemoval of textile dye from aqueous solutions by nanofiltration process
The feasibility of employing nanofiltration (NF) in the decolorization of ionic (direct blue 86) and nonionic (disperse blue 56) dye aqueous solutions was investigated. The effects of feed concentration (60- 180 mg/l), pressure (0.5- 1.1 MPa) and pH (6- 10) were studied. Experiments were performed in a laboratory- scale set up by using a TFC commercial spiral wound polyamide nanofilter. The res...
